Cochranites are invited to take in the sunset with live music, snacks, drinks and good company at a brand new event on Feb 24, 2024, called the Big Hill Chill.
Oh, and it all takes place in a gigantic inflatable igloo.
“It’s actually a 2,200 square-foot inflatable igloo,” says Kailey Mitchell with Quirk Social. “It’s like an evening out on the town but under the stars. It’s not outside so it’s not going to be really cold.”
“It’s also a full moon that night, which is pretty cool. It’s the snow moon.”
To guarantee the best view, the igloo will be set up on top of the Cochrane AG Grounds with a shuttle service running from Cochrane Super 8 and a stop at the Sunset Ridge Pond.
Half Hitch Brewing will provide the beer gardens along with a custom-made ice shoot for a special pouring experience.
The event will also feature the anticipated live return of The Smoking Aces.
“A portion of the ticket sales is going to The Coldest Night Of The Year, which is the Helping Hands event that is also running that same day,” says Mitchell. “People who are participating in that event can actually get a discount on their tickets if they want a party that night!”
