Growing Together, Evolving Intentionally
When Quirk Social hosted our very first market in 2020, we couldn’t have imagined how far those early tables, conversations, and connections would take us. What began as a seven-week Holiday Market to support local makers during the pandemic quickly grew into something much bigger — a community built on showing up, supporting one another, and growing together.
Those relationships became the foundation for everything that followed, including the opening of our retail home, The Social Spot Marketplace. The connections formed through our markets helped shape and fuel the growth of our broader event offerings — from festivals to curated experiences that extend well beyond a single day or venue. Vendors became collaborators, audiences became advocates, and our community continued to grow in ways we’re incredibly proud of.
As the local market landscape has evolved, we’ve taken time to reflect on how we can continue to operate sustainably and with intention. While we’re proud of our role in helping build this ecosystem, we’ve made the decision to step away from producing standalone markets as we focus our energy where we can have the greatest long-term impact.
Vendors remain an important part of what we do. You’ll continue to find vendor opportunities thoughtfully integrated into our key events, along with in-store pop-ups and the ability to apply to become a year-round vendor inside The Social Spot Marketplace. These pathways allow us to support makers in meaningful, sustainable ways while continuing to create well-curated experiences for our community.
We’re deeply grateful for how far we’ve come and for the people who helped us get here. We look forward to continuing to work together in new and evolving ways.
