Cochranites can bring their appetite this weekend to the second annual Cochrane Food Fest. Local restaurants, food trucks, and more will be featuring a special menu this Saturday joined by local musicians, beer gardens, and even a kid’s zone.

Lead Event Coordinator Kailey Mitchell says after the success of the first Food Fest, they decided to move to a larger location, Mitford Park.

“We moved from the downtown location because a festival in the park to sit down and have picnics on the ground versus being in the parking lot, just made sense.”

“We’ve got local musicians performing throughout the day. We’ve made the beer gardens bigger, there’s more stuff going on at the kid’s zone. We’ve got more food vendors, everything’s bigger this year.”

The entertainment line-up includes acts such as Anna Lewis, Ashley Erica, The Band Peak, Brady Enslen, and Justine Vandergrift. Cochrane’s Reanne Kyla will also take the stage and you can hear her single ‘Home’ on 91.5 FM CochraneNow.

The festival is set to showcase the excellence in Cochrane’s culinary community. Attendees will be able to enjoy various offerings in exchange for tickets that can be pre-purchased or bought on-site.

“You can actually buy them on the website ahead of time or at the Social Spot Marketplace downtown. We encourage people to buy them ahead of time because that way they can just show up and start using them at the food vendors.”

100 Food Fest Family packs are also available. The pack features $85 with of goods for just $75 and includes everything needed for a day of fun and food:

  • $50 in food tickets for the Cochrane Food Fest.

  • A Mackay’s Ice Cream cold tote bag.
